Asakusa Underground District - Tokyo's Hidden Retro Bunker
Asakusa Underground District is Tokyo's oldest underground shopping street, situated in a hidden bunker that lies beneath the historic Asakusa district.
I stumbled into this underground district completely by mistake, and it turned out to be a great photography experience. I highly recommend that all photographers who are visiting Asakusa take the time to explore the underground district, the quirky shops, the weird bars, the retro vintage style and the grey but colorful color palette — photographing these spots is like going back to the 80's. It visually feels that the Asakusa Underground District stopped in time, which is great.
