Above Iceland - Capturing Landscapes from the Sky
South, South East, South Highlands | Iceland
For aerial drone photographers, videographers, enthusiasts, and the public in general that appreciates aerial landscape visuals, Iceland is the perfect playground for aerial photography.

I have flown drones in different locations. I am self-aware of not disturbing other people and wildlife, but in Iceland there is something special in flying a drone: the vast wilderness, openness, and majestic color-coded landscape creates a feeling of solitude. Out there in the wild, away from the tourist hordes, it's you, the drone, and the Icelandic nature, which sometimes can be feisty with the weather and won't allow you to fly.
Lush green waterfalls, silver glacier rivers, volcanic black soil, blue lagoons, and white icebergs — during a photography road trip through South Iceland in a bit more than a week, I managed to cover several points from Reykjavik to a few hours beyond Höfn, and venture to the Southern Highlights until the roads, rivers, and weather permitted. Here is my aerial photography point of view of the amazing Icelandic landscape.
This photography series covers the south, southeast, and some parts of the southern Highlands during September. That month still gives enough light during the day to explore from dusk till dawn.
